100 years of cinema

Today’s famous and fad among the youth is the cinema, as we can see every time that there are new movies that are shown to the public it is easily accepted and embraced by the people particularly the youth and the children. It is for the reason that it is so appealing to the eyes of the viewers and it awakens once emotions in such movies presented to us and we cannot but affected by it in some way.

However, the article “Pontifical council for communications 100 years of cinema Training in the interpretation of the motion picture medium” reminds us that movies should be look at in a manner by which one should get something from it which is good. In such away, the viewer particularly the youth will be aware of the reality which is being shadowed by the movies that we see. Consequently, the church has its big role and the parents too to educate their children in this kind of advancements so that their children and the youth might not be misled and eventually see the beauty and wisdom behind these technological advancements. Accordingly, it is indispensable, therefore, that serious effort be made to educate in the correct understanding of the mass media, and in our particular case, of cinema. In other words parents and the church should goes hand and hand in order to guide the youth in the proper use of mass media for there are tendencies that are not good for them. It also reminds us that as the youth get information through mass media in particular the cinema proper guide should be given and proper interpretation of the context of the cinema should be given to them so that they might not fall to the imaginative mode which is very dangerous for it can create something that is not good or it can harm to that mentality of the youth.

In the end cinema should be seen not only for entertainment but also should be look at in away that one can get good values so that one should learn and gradually apply it in their lives.
